As we start the new year, with plans to make the most of all it offers, it is time for a new look for my business.

A new website and a new brand image for the business has been created over the past few months and finally it’s ready for you to enjoy. I hope you love and find it an inspiring place to be. Happy new year.

Winter weddings can be wonderful, crisp clear skies, warm log fires, beautiful foliage….

But they can also be really, really cold. So don’t be afraid to add to your wedding gown with something warm and luxurious to keep the heat in during the photographs and whilst moving around your venue.

Pashminas are just not warm enough for our bitterly cold winters, and if its windy they’ll really not cut the mustard at all, so rather than shuddering and turning blue, invest in a cloak, a faux fur wrap, a beautiful ivory coat to wrap around you and still look stylish. Shrugs, scarves and evening jackets can all look sensational with wedding gowns, don’t be afraid to experiment.

Oh and don’t forget your bridesmaids. They will thank you for taking the time to seek out something more than a swathe of cotton to keep them warm. And they can look so chic in photographs if they too are warm and elegant.

Always have some wellies for your feet, to allow you to get some shots outside, without ruining the beautiful wedding shoes you chose so carefully, and in case a rain a pretty bright umbrella always adds something special to rainy day shots.

Be prepared for the British winter, don’t try to act like it’s summer and actually warm, cover up, add to your gown rather than swamping it, and you’ll love your photographs so much more, because you look beautiful and warm !
