On Sunday I made a discovery…
A new Lingerie label creating the most soft, chic and ethereal pieces.
Apparently in France, Lily of the Valley traditionally brings good luck on May 1st. So today the House of Dior is wishes everyone much luck and happiness for the year ahead.
To celebrate May Day, they have a little video of an exceptional piece, the “Muguet” dress. It’s so exquisite I had to share.
I’d never want to take it off… ever.
“I have heard of daydreams – is she in a daydream now? Her eyes are fixed on the floor, but I am sure they do not see it – her sight seems turned in, gone down into her heart”
The thought of being photographed can be a little, well scary.
“My bounty is as boundless as the sea,
My love as deep; the more I give to thee,
The more I have, for both are infinite.”
Romeo and Juliet. William Shakespeare
“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air..”
In the summertime….
“Lean on me, when you’re not strong
And I’ll be your friend
I’ll help you carry on
For it won’t be long
‘Til I’m gonna need
Somebody to lean on”
“Dance till the stars come down from the rafters
Dance, Dance, Dance till you drop.”
~W.H. Auden
“Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each of you be alone, even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.”
Kahil Gibran
Dior 2012…Inspiration for your heart. With love x
A loving mother gently looks into her daughters eyes and says not a word.
Carrying a oversized gold clutch, and wearing a bridal gown with low cut, deep slung pockets?
Sometimes the love really spreads at weddings.
There’s something about seeing a couple pledge to spend the rest of their lives together which moves people to assess their own relationships. To look deep within their hearts and recognise how precious the love they have is.
A flash of gold sparkle from under the tumbling layers of an ivory wedding dress.
Can there be a more chic sight? Especially when that gold is a pair of sparkly shoes, and when those shoes are T bar with a tiny diamante buckle?
These glitzy beauties are meant to make your heart sing.
If you covet them, Harriet Wilde is your woman.
My beautiful bride and groom Kirsteen and Richard never once let a rainy day get in the way of a perfect wedding day.
I love them both for their perfect spirit.
Their romantic wedding at the very beautiful Yorebridge house, was filled with so much happiness, laughter and colour.
And without the rain, we’d never have seen Kirsteen’s amazing hot pink wellies.
The softness of skin, the gentleness of touch, the poise of grace.
What woman wouldn’t want to look so utterly, breathtakingly beautiful?
” Take love, multiply it by infinity and take it to the depths of forever… and you still only have a glimpse of how I feel for you.”
From the movie “ Meet Joe Black “
Gorgeous little favours always brighten the wedding breakfast table.
We love these little tags created by the uber talented I am Nat.
Perfect for an English country garden theme.
Her Song – Brian Patten
For no other reason than I love him wholly
I am here; for this one night at least
The world has shrunk to a boyish breast
On which my head, brilliant and exhausted, rests.
For this one night at least.
Don’t leave your gorgeous groom behind in the fashion stakes on your wedding day.
There’s no reason for him to wear a dull, starchy suit.
It’s his chance to shine too, so let his personality lead you and add colour and creativity to the mix.
This gorgeous blue jacket and little yellow corsage look amazing together.
Imagine the possibilities….
Blue is the colour of faithfulness.
What a perfect choice for wedding day accessories then.
And why stick only to flowers. Why not add a more modern twist and carry a gorgeous clutch bag down the aisle?
A perfect look for a city, vogue kind of girl.
